PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transformed yeast for detecting/measuring dioxins, enabling the ready and rapid measurement or the like of the dioxins of ligands of an aryl hydrocarbon receptor in a large amount of specimens; and to provide a method for detecting the dioxins by using the transformed yeast. SOLUTION: The yeast is obtained by recombining a yeast so as to express the aryl hydrocarbon receptor and a nuclear translocator of the aryl hydrocarbon receptor and so that when the dioxin or the like is bonded to the aryl hydrocarbon receptor, the reporter gene may be expressed. The reagent for detecting the dioxins contains the transformed yeast. The kit for detecting/measuring the dioxins has the reagent and a growth medium. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
