<p>A spooling mechanism (10) for winding the drawstring (20) of a blind, comprising a drive pulley (12) fixed to a driveshaft (14), static holder (18), and a cone shaped drum (16) held between the pulley (12) and static holder (18) for free rotation therebetween, with the narrow end of the cone engaging the pulley (12) and the wider end engaging the static holder (18), wherein a drawstring (20) that passes through a conduit (22) on the static holder (18) and winds around the drum (16) is fixed to the drive pulley (12), such that rotation of the driveshaft (14) increases tension in the drawstring (20) causing it to wind up unto the freely rotating drum (16) without becoming entangled or overlapped while winding.</p> |
