<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a lithium secondary battery showing superior charging and discharging cycle characteristics, even if the quantity of carbon dioxide dissolved in the non-aqueous electrolyte is small, in a lithium secondary battery using a negative electrode, in which silicon amorphous thin film or amorphous thin film made mainly of silicon is piled on a current collector. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method comprises a process, in which at least one cycle of charge and discharge is carried out by contacting a negative electrode and a positive electrode with a first non-aqueous electrolyte dissolved with carbon dioxide and a process in which after the charge and discharge, the battery is finally assembled, using a second non-aqueous electrolyte which has fewer dissolved quantity of carbon dioxide than the first non-aqueous electrolyte. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
