<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a high definition main video and a sub video having high image quality, to secure large capacity and high compatibility of formats, to heighten reliability of write-once type rewriting or rewriting of PC data and reproduction of address information, and to enhance the accuracy of reference clock extraction from a wobble signal. <P>SOLUTION: Lands and grooves as tracks for information recording of an information recording surface are alternately disposed in a radial direction, address information of the tracks is recorded by modulating the wobble of the grooves or the lands or changing the width of the grooves or the lands, gray codes are used in at least a portion of the address information, and the wobble or the width is modulated so that the position of an indefinite bit generated in a wobble modulation region where the gray codes are used or in a width modulation region where the width is changed can be estimated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
