PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of detecting color-fogged portions of an image taken by a solid state image sensor to adjust the white balance on image data based on taken image signals obtained from the solid state image sensor. SOLUTION: A digital signal processor 6 processes image data based on taken image signals obtained from a solid state imaging device comprising a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements arranged in a plane. The plurality of photoelectric conversion elements include a plurality of first and second photoelectric conversion elements having spectroscopic sensitivity characteristics having peaks at different colors of the same kind. The first and second photoelectric conversion elements are disposed closely. The signal processor 6 discriminates the taken image signals obtained by photographing under a plurality of kinds of light sources and photographed regions under the respective light sources, based on the ratio of taken image signals obtained by the first and second mutually closed photoelectric conversion elements.
