PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video signal processing system for uniformly correcting a contour in the whole area of an image, while correcting shading, and to provide an electronic video apparatus. SOLUTION: A noise reduction filter circuit 14 uses a numerical value, which is changed in proportion to gain g to be used for correcting shading, i.e., a distance from the center of a screen, for a noise reduction filter processing. Consequently, the noise reduction filter processing is not performed in the center part of the image without noise by shading correction, so as not to affect image quality. On the contrary, the gain value of the shading correction is larger in the peripheral part of the image. Then the effect of a noise reduction filter becomes larger in an emphasized noise, so as to sufficiently remove the noise. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
