PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal processor with a simple constitution capable of dealing with the speeding-up, an application equalizer, a data receiver, and a signal processing method. SOLUTION: The signal processor for equalizing a received signal has a binarization means 301 for binarizing the received signal, a digital signal processing means 302 for executing the digital signal processing to the signal binarized with the binarization means 301, and a re-binarization means 303 for re-binarizing to the output of the digital signal processing means 302.
