PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gateway device which acquires necessary information when the centralized control of various devices is performed through a communication, and which can avoid the confusion of the control. SOLUTION: The gateway device 100 includes a remote manipulation signal receiver 122 which receives a signal including the address of a screen to be displayed by a remote device from the remote device. This signal might further sometimes include a parameter which shows the control content regarding an apparatus. This gateway device 100 further includes a control signal transmitter 132 for specifying the object to be controlled based on the parameter when this signal includes the parameter to transmit the control command to the apparatus, an apparatus information acquiring unit 124 for acquiring the apparatus information showing the state of the apparatus, a screen forming unit 128 for forming screen information including the screen for selecting the control content and the screen showing the apparatus information based on the address included in the signal received by the remote operation signal receiver 122, and a screen transmitter 130 for transmitting the screen information to the remote device.
