PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate transfer and fixing belt which reduces a dimension change caused by environmental variations and has improved strength. SOLUTION: In the intermediate transferring and fixing including at least a polyimide resin layer containing conductive fillers, a hygroscopic expansion coefficient A(ppm/%RH) and a linear expansion coefficient B (ppm/°C) in the peripheral direction of said belt is A+2B≤60 and B≤15. It is preferable that said polyimide resin layer is formed mainly from 2,2'-dimethyl-4,4'-diamino biphenyl as a diamine component. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
