PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving substrate which makes a wiring pattern thereon simplified while suppressing a bad influence of spurious radiation noise, and also to provide a semiconductor power module having the driving substrate mounted thereon. SOLUTION: A semiconductor power module 9 mounted on a Y electrode-side driving substrate 1 includes a separation circuit 4 being a main circuit where a sustain pulse current flows, a sustain circuit 5, and a power recovery circuit 6, so that a wiring pattern on the Y electrode-side driving substrate 1 is simplified, and the substrate area is reduced. Since a circuit pattern and a terminal arrangement in the semiconductor power module 9 are laid out so that a sustain pulse current path is the shortest path, an inductance parasitic on the internal circuit pattern and a voltage drop resulting from passing-round of the circuit pattern are reduced.
