PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photothermographic imaging material excellent in photographic performances (high sensitivity and low fog); and to provide a photothermographic imaging material excellent in storage stability before development (raw stock preservability) and in storage stability after development (image preservability). SOLUTION: In the photothermographic imaging material having on a support a photosensitive layer containing photosensitive silver halide grains, an organic silver salt, a reducing agent and a binder, a compound of a formula (1) is contained. In the formula (1), R<SB>1</SB>-R<SB>4</SB>represent substituents, one of which is an alkylsilyl group or an alkoxy boron group; and L represents a bivalent linking group.
