PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a railway rolling stock body structure easy in manufacture, and capable of reducing manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: An outside plate panel 22 is used for the railway rolling stock body structure 1, and has a face plate 24 and a plurality of sections 24 of a cross-sectional substantially triangular shape having a hollow part 34. This outside plate panel 22 is juxtaposed in a plurality along the face plate 24 in a state of joining a first top part 38 of a section 26 to a plane part 24a of the face plate 24, and is formed by respectively continuously welding a contact part of the face plate 24 and the first top part 38 of the section 26 and a contact part of a second top part 40 and a third top part 42 in the adjacent sections 26, in the longitudinal direction of the sections 26 in a state of joining the second top part 40 and the third top part 42 mutually opposed in the adjacent sections 26 by butting.
