Crane has signal generator that processes output of proximity sensor and sends signal to control unit for adjusting anchor wire's length with respect to extension of telescopic extension arm

The crane has an adjustable bracing (5) supporting a telescopic extension arm (1). The bracing has terminal brackets (6) that support anchor wires (7,8). Each terminal bracket has cable length adjusting device connected to signal generator, proximity sensor and control unit. The signal generator processes proximity sensor output and sends signal to the control unit to adjust anchor wire's length. The proximity sensor detects the position of the telescopic extension arm which includes a tubular drive section (2) and telescopic sections (3,4). A cable winch is provided for holding the anchor wires. The terminal brackets are extended in V shape when adjusting the length of the anchor wires with respect to the extension of the telescopic extension arm. A Hall-effect sensor or a capacitive sensor can be used as proximity sensor. The proximity sensor may include an ultrasonic transceiver or an optical transceiver, while the signal generator may be provided with an ultrasonic reflector or an optical reflector.
