The device (100a) has a smart-card-contact device with contacts units (104), and an universal serial bus (USB) plug (102) with USB ports and coupled to a USB interface. The contact units and a USB connection of the plug are electrically coupled by an electrical connection unit, where the device (110a) is in the path of electrical coupling and is free from active equipments for processing of data according to ISO/IEC 7816 of the card. The contact units are arranged for electrically contacting of each of contact areas (120). An independent claim is also included for a smart card with unevenness such as recess, cavity, notch, uprising or hole, for intervention with a device that connects the smart card with a universal serial bus (USB) port.
