An endoscope balloon control device having a pump for supplying a gas to or discharging a gas from a balloon for fixation attached to the outer peripheral section of the head of an insertion section of an endoscope and having a control section for measuring the pressure of gas in the balloon and operating the pump based on the result of the measurement to control the pressure in the balloon. The control section has a flow rate detecting section for detecting the flow rate of air supplied to or sucked from the balloon, and operates the pump based on the result of the detection by the flow rate detecting section, controlling the flow rate of air supplied to or sucked from the balloon.
