<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recording material, which has excellent light fastness and preservability so as to prevent the fading of an image part and the discoloration of a non-image part even under the state being exposed to the sun or a fluorescent lamp for a long time from developing and, at the same time, in which no ground fogging develops and which is excellent in chemical resistance. <P>SOLUTION: In the thermosensitive recording material, which is formed by providing a thermosensitive recording layer including a colorless or light-colored electron donative dye precursor and electron acceptive developer on a support, the thermosensitive recording layer includes 2,2'-methylene bis[6-(2H-1,2,3-benzotriazol-2-yl)-4-(2-hydroxyethyl)phenol] having a crystal form characterized by an X-ray diffraction pattern, in which Bragg angle (2θ±0.2°) by powdered X-ray diffractometry with Cu-Kα rays show peaks at 6.1°, 11.3°, 12.2° and 18.9° under the condition that the maximum peak lies either at 12.2° or at 18.9° as a UV absorber. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
