<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance connection reliability in a gas sensor having a terminal connection structure for performing the electrical connection of the terminal member to an internal electrode layer of an element by insertion using the springiness of the terminal member. <P>SOLUTION: The terminal member 31 is formed into a shape having a cylindrical part 34 from a metal sheet having springiness and has a positioning projection 38 and a falling-off preventing projection 39 in the insertion into a detection element 15 provided on its outer peripheral surface. This terminal member 31 is pressed to the internal electrode layer by its springness in a state inserted in the element 15 to be connected thereto electrically. In this state, the positioning projection 38 is locked with the rear end 27 of a sleeve 25 so as to stop the movement of the terminal member 31 to a leading end side. Further, the falling-off preventing locking part 29b with which the falling-off preventing projection 39 is locked is provided to the internal peripheral surface of the sleeve 25 and deformed into a diametrically expanded state after the insertion of the terminal member 31 to be locked in a falling-off preventing state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
