METHOD FOR MONITORING PHOSPHATE CONCENTRATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of monitoring the concentration of phosphate in the environment, causing little environmental load by solving contradiction that toxic substances such as molybdenum are now used in measuring phosphorus content in waste water so environmental pollutants are generated in monitoring of envilonmentally regulated substances.

SOLUTION: The phosphorate monitoring technology comprises using a microorganism cell itself (such as Saccharomyces cerevisiae transformed by PHO84 promotor and EGFP gene-containing plasmid) as the phosphate sensor by focusing attention on mechanism of sensitive response to phosphate and of microorganism such as yeast cell.
