<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat belt device 1 capable of more surely detecting a failure. <P>SOLUTION: A rotation detection means to output a rotation detection signal when a motor is rotated is connected to the motor and a control means. A seat belt fitting detection means to output a fitting signal when a seat belt is fitted on an occupant is connected to the control means.
