<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which sufficiently secures proper transfer material carrying property and which completely prevents a transferring object from contacting with a transfer material rear end part. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with: a transferring apparatus 36 consisting of a transferring roller 53 for electrostaticly transferring a developer image on a photoreceptor drum 32 to the transfer material P; and a transfer material guiding means 51 on the downstream side of a carrying path of the transfer material P compared with the opposing place of the drum 32 and the roller 53.
