<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the occurrence of a secondary accident due to scattering of foam fraction in inflating and deploying an airbag. <P>SOLUTION: The airbag door is provided with a variable elongation part 42 which is extended to approximately the same direction as the extending direction of a hinge part 38 and is extensively deformable in the direction crossing with the extending direction of the hinge part 38 on a required portion of a door panel 36. When the door panel 36 opens around the hinge part 38, the door panel 36 exfoliated from a door covering part 24 of a foaming body 14 is width-wideningly deformed to the opening end part 36A side due to the deformation of the variable elongation part 42 by the contact of the airbag 60 to cover the door covering part 24 and can prevent the airbag from contacting to the door covering part 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
