<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag deployment device capable of reducing the weight and the manufacturing cost of the device while ensuring the strength and the rigidity of a periphery of a mounting part of a hinge plate. <P>SOLUTION: The airbag deployment device comprises an instrument panel 2 having a door part 4 demarcated by break slots 5 formed in a back side, a case body 8 formed along the break slots 5 and fixed to the back side of the instrument panel 2, a lid inner 16 fixed to a back side of the door part 4, and a hinge plate 17 interposed between the lid inner 16 and the instrument panel 2 and fixed to the case body 8 at the position separate from the instrument panel 2. Mounting plate parts 13, 24, 25 with tightening holes formed therein are formed in the hinge plate 17, the case body 8 and an airbag storage body 3. The mounting plate parts 13, 24, 25 overlap each other from the back side of the instrument panel 2 in the order of the hinge plate 17, the case body 8 and the airbag storage body 3, and tightened to each other by bolts 26 passed through the tightening holes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
