PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing device which can enhance data processing efficiency while maintaining capability for protecting the data. SOLUTION: This data processing device is configured to: receive and store the data; perform a process for outputting the stored data and the like; make the processed data invalid by erasing or overwriting the data; display an entry screen for receiving a priority instruction from a user for either priority on processing speed for giving priority to processing the data or priority on security for making the data invalid; make the data invalid immediately after processing the data when the priority on security is inducted; process the data preferentially when the priority on processing speed is inducted; make the processed data invalid after all the data to be processed are processed or after the user leaves the device.
