PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrially performable and high yield method for producing 1,2,4-trimethoxybenzene, wherein the method uses a comparatively easily available raw material. SOLUTION: The method comprises producing 1,2,4-trimethoxybenzene by using comparatively easily available bromodimethoxybenzenes as the starting material and reacting with NaOCH<SB>3</SB>in the presence of a catalytic amount of copper iodide and a specific amide compound.
