A two-stage driven wheel suspension (10) comprising a first stage (22) resiliently linked to a main frame (14) allowing a first degree of driven wheel (12) travel and a second stage (28) resiliently linked to the main frame (14) and pivotally linked to the first stage (22) allowing a second degree of driven wheel (12) travel wherein during pedalling the second stage (28) is inactivated due to the tension in a flexible linkage (17) between the driven wheel (12) and the pedal assembly (15), thus "pedal induced bobbing" is avoided.
