<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording material having reduced likelihood of cockling and cracking/falling-off in a coating layer caused by folding and bending, excellent in ink-absorbency and in color-developing and in pigment ink suitability and having a high surface glossiness. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet recording material is sequentially provided with an ink receptive layer and a glossiness developing layer on at least one side of an air-permeable paper base material. The base material contains boric acid or one or more borates. The ink receptive layer contains inorganic pigments with an average secondary particle diameter of 0.5 μm or more and a hydrophilic binder. The glossiness developing layer contains an alumina hydrate with an average secondary particle diameter of under 0.5 μm and a hydrophilic binder. The content of the alumina hydrate is 75 mass% or more of the dry solid of the glossiness developing layer. The air-permeability resistance is 100 sec or more and 6,000 sec or less, measured according to JIS-P8117 after coating and drying the ink receptive layer on one side of the base material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
