<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which realizes excellent color calibration. <P>SOLUTION: A printer unit 10 includes a toner image forming means 14 for forming a toner image, a control means 20 for controlling the toner image forming means 14 so as to form a test image, a conveyance means 18 for conveying a recording medium with the toner image transferred thereon, a fixing means 19 for fixing the transferred toner image on the recording medium, an image reading means 302 for reading the test image transferred on a recording medium 42, and a calibration means for performing color calibration processing based on the test image read by the image reading means 302. The conveyance means 18 includes a paper sheet carry-out path from a fixing position to a paper sheet tray 352 and a paper sheet inversion path 320 branched from a branching position on the paper sheet carry-out path 310 for inverting the recording medium 42.
