<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cleaning soil contaminated with oil, by which cleaned soil as much as possible can be obtained by efficiently separating/removing a soil particle containing high-concentration oil from the oil-contaminated soil. <P>SOLUTION: The oil-contaminated soil is thrown in a first drum type agitation vessel 1 and mixed/agitated while adding water to obtain slurry. A coarse particle portion of≥1 mm particle size is separated by sieving the obtained slurry by a vibration screen 2. The slurry containing a fine particle portion of≤1 mm particle size is thrown in a separation tank 3 and separated into surfacing oil, an aqueous suspension and precipitated fine particles. The fine particle portion precipitated in the separation tank 3 is thrown in a second drum type agitation vessel 4 together with an oil adsorbent, which are then mixed/agitated with each other so that the oil stuck to fine particles is adsorbed on the oil adsorbent. A mixture of the fine particle portion with the oil-adsorbed oil adsorbent is sorted by a liquid cyclone 5 into particles of almost≥100μm particle size and particles of≤100μm particle size. The original ground can be backfilled with the coarse particle portion of≥1 mm particle size and the particles of almost≥100μm particle size as cleaned soil. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
