OPTICAL SIGNAL POINTING METHOD, DEVICE AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new pointing technique that allows pointing a certain position within the display area of a nearby large display by use of an optical signal sent from a light-source device, and inputting a predetermined control event signal to that position.

SOLUTION: An optical signal pointing device that points a certain position within the display area of a display by use of the light-source device 11 includes an image sensor means 12 for picking up images; an optical signal detection means 15 for determining a cursor position by detecting a cursor light signal of the light-source device 11 from an image picked up by the image sensor means 12; and a control means 14 for displaying a cursor within the display area of the display according to the cursor position.
