LIQUID ABSORPTION BODY FOR INKJET AND INKJET RECORDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid absorption body for inkjet that can suppresses occurrence of a sediment on its surface by immediately absorbing liquids even when two or more kinds of liquids for printing each generating aggregation or increasing of its viscosity are wasted in a condition that they are mixed, and an inkjet recorder having the same. SOLUTION: This inkjet recorder comprises a recording head 3 for ejecting one or more kinds of printing liquids and a maintenance unit 14 (a waste liquid treatment means) having a waste liquid storage section that absorbs the printing liquids discharged from the recording head in the non-printing time by absorbing the printing liquids to store them. The liquid absorption body 15 in which a time period that a liquid having a surface tension of 72.5 mN/m(20°C) or more permeates from the surface of the absorption body 15 into the inner section thereof is not less than 0.02 sec and not greater than 0.20 sec is used as the waste liquid storage section.
