PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication barrier device capable of reducing a barrier (a suppressing radio wave) for suppressing a portable telephone, which leaks through a window during opening/closing doors, so as not to easily reach the platform side without sticking electromagnetic wave shielding sheets on windows of a vehicle. SOLUTION: An antenna device is installed to a ceiling side having no shielding effect. The suppressing radio wave for suppressing the portable telephone is transmitted. By this constitution, the directivity center of a barrier space emitted from the railway coach through the windows is downwardly converged. Consequently, the radio wave hardly leaks. A suppressing barrier slightly leaking through the windows leaks obliquely downward. Even if it leaks, for example, the suppressing barrier is converged toward the pavement surface of the platform and vanished in a state that the railway coach arrives at a platform. Accordingly, the communication barrier device can exert large effects such that at least a suppressing barrier space horizontal to the vehicle, which disturbs the communication by a communicator existing in the center of the platform, is not generated.
