PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a dividedly recorded reservation video into one item of continuing reservation video by editing the reservation video without impairing image quality after completion of the reservation video recording, by recording the continuation of the reservation video into another recording medium if a recording medium designated for the reservation video recording becomes short of recording area. SOLUTION: The reservation video is recorded in a first recording medium in which the reservation video recording is set, the presence or absence of residual quantity of the recording area of the first recording medium is detected, and, if the absence of the residual quantity of the recording area of the first recording medium is detected, the continuation of the reservation video recording is recorded in a second recording medium. After completion of the reservation video recording, the reservation video recorded in the first recording medium is dubbed in the second recording medium, and the continuation of the reservation video recorded in the second recording medium and the dubbed reservation video are edited to form one continuing reservation video recording.
