PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a good insertion of a recording medium cartridge into a holder while maintaining the strength of the holder holding the recording medium cartridge. SOLUTION: A holder 8 includes a pair of side face parts 31 and 32, a connecting surface part 30 for interconnecting the ends of the side face parts in the thickness direction of a recording medium cartridge 100, and a pair of opposing surface parts 33 and 34 projected to approach each other from the other ends of the side face parts in the thickness direction of the recording medium cartridge. The connecting surface part is provided with a plurality of recessed reinforcing ribs 37 and 37 opened in the opposing surface sides. The recessed reinforcing ribs are formed in a part 30d other than the center between the side face parts in the part of the holder insertion port 36 side of the connecting surface part.
