PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the destruction or damage of a holder and a recording medium cartridge during the insertion of the recording medium cartridge into the holder. SOLUTION: A chassis 7 having a recording/reproducing part arranged therein is provided, and a holder 8 includes a pair of side face parts 31 and 32, a connecting surface part 30 for interconnecting ends of the side face part in the thickness direction of a recording medium cartridge 100, a pair of projected surfaces 33 and 34 projected to approach each other from the other ends of the side face in the thickness direction of the recording medium cartridge, and receiving surface parts 35 and 35 projected from the ends of the holder insertion port 36 side of the pair of projected surface parts. The pair of projected surface parts of the holder are positioned on the chassis side more than the connection surface part. At the ends opposite the side face part of the receiving part of the holder, planar or curved receiving parts 35b and 36b are formed so that they are displaced to approach each other toward the insertion direction of the recording medium cartridge with respect to the holder.
