摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform labeling processing if binary image data is provided by using a SIMD type microprocessor. SOLUTION: At first, concatenation of pixels in a sub-scanning direction is determined by parallel processing by PEs, and provisional labeling processing is performed which determines concatenation of pixels in a main scanning direction by a data controller. In the processing for the main scanning direction in the provisional labeling processing, processing which decides a provisional label of object image data and updates the information on connection between provisional labels, from a provisional label of a pixel just prior to an object pixel, object image data and information on connection between provisional labels, is performed twice by scanning from the left and right sides in the main scanning direction, then in actual labeling processing, the information on connection between provisional labels is checked once by scanning in an ascending order of addresses, the information on connection between provisional labels is updated so that there will be no missing number in the actual labels, and data after update is taken as table conversion data from the provisional label to the actual label.
