PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray detector capable of reducing X-ray transmissivity in each purpose of use. SOLUTION: An X-ray emission phosphor containing lutetium (Lu), and at least one kind of element selected from oxygen (O), sulfur (S), selenium (Se) and tellurium (Te) is used as a material constituting a scintillator layer of the X-ray detector. Therefore, the X-ray absorptance in the scintillator layer can be improved in each purpose of use such as general medical use, mammographic use and industrial use. The X-ray transmissivity in an X-ray irradiation condition of the X-ray detector used for each purpose of use can be reduced efficiently. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
