PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing device and method enabling to manufacture micro spheres having a desired size. SOLUTION: The micro sphere manufacturing device comprises a manufacturing part which manufactures micro spheres, and a measuring part which comprises a sampling means which samples a part of the micro spheres and a measuring means which measures the size of the sampled micro spheres. The measuring means comprises a translucent mounting member on which the sampled micro spheres are dispersed, an illuminating means which forms inspection images of the micro spheres dispersed on the mounting member, an imaging means which takes the inspection images of the micro spheres, and a calculation means which calculates the size of the micro spheres based on the inspection images taken by the imaging means.
