PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform accurate displacement detection without being influenced even when one detection circuit is failed in a duplicated electromagnetic induction type angle sensor. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic induction type angle sensor is provided with two pairs of driving coils, detection coils, and detection circuits connected thereto, and is equipped with a detection plate exerting an influence on electromagnetic bonding between the driving coils and the detection coils. In the sensor, a coil driving part 22A in one detection circuit 20A is equipped with an oscillation circuit 24A and a timer 26A for outputting an oscillation prohibiting signal to an oscillation circuit 24B on the other side, and a coil driving part 22B in the other detection circuit 20B is equipped with an oscillation circuit 24B and a timer 26B for outputting an oscillation prohibiting signal to the counter oscillation circuit 24A, and, while one oscillation circuit drives the driving coil, the other oscillation circuit stops oscillation, to thereby detect the moving position of the detection plate in time sharing by the two detection circuits.
