PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grasp a change of presence information on different types of applications by sharing the presence information between a plurality of the applications. SOLUTION: An IM (X) server 3 accepts the change of the presence information from a client A1 (S902), and transmits a change notification message for notifying the accepted change of the presence information to a presence server 5 (S906). The presence server 5 transmits the change notification massage accepted from the IM (X) server 3 to an IM(Y) server 4 (S908).
