PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cage for a bag filter constituted so as to prevent compressed air from a jet nozzle from directly impinging against the bag filter of a lower air flowing hole. SOLUTION: In the cage for the bag filter constituted of a large number of the support bars 2 inserted in the bottomed cylindrical bag filter F and having length over the total length of the bag filter F in order to hold the bag filter F, the annular support rings 3 attached to the support bars 2 at appropriate positions and the bottom plate 4 attached to the bottom part of the bag filter F, the air flowing hole 5 is bored in the bottom plate 4 and a cover part 6 is formed to the air flowing hole 5 at a part spaced apart from the air flowing hole 5 so as to prevent the compressed air A blown in order to backwash the bag filter F from directly impinging against the bag filter F.
