PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate such a malfunction as reduction of the effect of a softening finishing agent by feeding water in a final spin-drying process as water is fed into an outer tub of a washing machine to untangle the laundry when the laundry is greatly one-sided at the time of spin-drying. SOLUTION: A flag to specify whether a one-sidedness correcting operation should be automatically executed or not is selected by a special key operation when the laundry is one-sided at the time of the final dewatering. When the one-sidedness of the laundry is detected in the spin-drying process (Yes in S22), and when it is not in the final dewatering process (No in S25), the one-sidedness correcting operation is unconditionally executed (S29). When the flag is zero in the final spin-drying process (No in S26), the one-sidedness correcting operation is executed; when the flag is one, an abnormality is announced without executing the one-sidedness correcting operation and the execution is made to wait (S27).
