<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rewritable optical information recording medium such as a CD-RW, a DVD-RAM, a DVD-RW, a DVD+RW and the like. <P>SOLUTION: A phase change optical recording medium has, on its substrate, at least a first protection layer, a recording layer, a second protection layer, and a reflection layer which are all laminated in this order or in the reverse order. In this case, the recording layer contains Ag<SB>α</SB>In<SB>β</SB>Sb<SB>γ</SB>Te<SB>δ</SB>Ge<SB>ε</SB>, wherein a composition ratio (atom%) is as follows; 0.0≤α≤7.0, 2.0≤β≤10.0, 64.0≤γ≤92.0, 5.0≤δ≤26.0, and 0.0≤ε≤7.0, and α+β+γ+δ+ε≥97.0. In addition, the film of the recording layer is formed by a sputtering method with a film-forming gas flow quantity F(sccm) satisfying the following relational equation (1): <Relational equation (1)> 1/10Fmax(sccm)≤F(sccm)≤1/2Fmax(sccm), wherein Fmax a film-forming gas flow quantity at a time when the film-forming speed in spattering becomes maximum in the case that sputtering electric power is fixed and a film-forming gas flow quantity is gradually increased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
