<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic wave generating device capable of continuously varying the frequency of an electromagnetic wave to be generated. <P>SOLUTION: The electromagnetic wave generating device is equipped with a light source having a continuous band over a specified frequency range, an optical filter which selects lights of two different 1st and 2nd frequencies in the band from the light from the light source, and a light-electromagnetic wave converter which generates an electromagnetic wave having a frequency equal to the absolute value of the frequency difference between the inputted lights of the 1st and 2nd frequencies. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
