PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent electronic information from being distributed to destinations to which it should not be distributed. SOLUTION: On the basis of the authentication information of an authenticated user, an input device 1 side obtains distribution destinations to which the user can distribute information. After desired distribution destinations have been designated from among the destinations obtained (S1-S4), the designated distribution destinations, electronic information, and the authentication information are sent to a document distribution device (S5). When obtaining the distribution destinations, the electronic information and the authentication information sent from the input device 1 (T1), the document distribution device 3 side distributes the electronic information obtained from the input device to the designated distribution destinations after the user is authenticated on the basis of the authentication information obtained (T2-T3), so as to implement user authentication and the designation of the destinations to which the information is to be actually distributed, from among the distribution destinations to which the user requesting the authentication can distribute the information.
