PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gnawing trouble-preventing material for preventing an electric wire, a communication cable, piping, furniture, various kinds of trees, or the like, arranged in indoor or outdoor from being gnawed by rodent animals, hardly polluting the natural environment, sustaining the gnawing trouble-preventing effects without being affected by rain water, and naturally degraded after few years or after use. SOLUTION: This gnawing trouble-preventing material nearly homogeneously contains an inorganic fiber and an inorganic powder on the surface and/or in the interior of a nonwoven fabric, a net or a film, and the nonwoven fabric, the net or the film is constituted of a biodegradable resin.
