PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably provide an electrode in which the boundary between an external terminal connection section and an active substance coated region is prescribed to a prescribed position in the electrode provided for a secondary battery, or the like. SOLUTION: In electrode punching, the end of the coated region of an active substance in a web before punching is imaged and is compared with the reference position at the boundary of an external terminal in punching operation, thus finely adjusting the punching position of the web, on the basis of the comparison result.
