PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combine harvester with which a grain straw feeder is devised and grain straws are smoothly conveyed at the starting end part of a grain straw feeding and conveying apparatus. SOLUTION: This combine harvester has constitution that a reaping part 4 is installed ahead a traveling apparatus 3 and a threshing apparatus 2 above the traveling apparatus 3, the starting end part of the grain straw feeding and conveying apparatus 17 for nipping and conveying the root side while supplying the ear tip side of grain straw passed from a conveying apparatus H to the threshing chamber of the threshing apparatus 2 and threshing is faced to the end of the conveying apparatus H for conveying grain straws reaped by the reaping part 4, the grain straw feeding and conveying apparatus 17 nips and conveys grain straws by a nipping rod 22 and a conveying and supplying chain 23. A grain straw feeder 28 having a rotator 29 equipped with sending projections 31 projecting in the radial directions in the circumference by rotation of a horizontal shaft is installed at the tip part of the conveying and supplying chain 23. The grain straw feeder 28 forcedly stands the sending projections 31 in operation and makes them in a free state in nonoperation. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
