PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring device of a heating treatment apparatus which enables a user to easily recognize a state of the apparatus and avoids useless anxiety of the user, and moreover to provide a heating treatment apparatus capable of shortening a warmup time. SOLUTION: The monitoring device of the heating treatment apparatus is provided with a display part for discriminably displaying temperature rising state of a heating region until a heating fixing device becomes operable in a plurality of different display modes, and switches and displays three states of the first heating control state until the apparatus reaches a predetermined temperature after a power source is turned on, the second heating control state until the apparatus is stabilized after reaching the predetermined temperature, and the third heating control state in which the apparatus is operable after stabilized, by a combination of flickering lamps with different periods or lit lamps. A second heating control changing switch is provided for changing the second heating control. The second heating control changing switch accepts only in the second heating control state, and at the same time only when a time before the apparatus shifts from the first heating control state to the second heating control state is shorter than a predetermined time after the power source is turned on.
