摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode catalyst for a polymer electrolyte fuel cell having high activity, its manufacturing method, and the polymer electrolyte fuel cell having the electrode catalyst for the polymer electrolyte fuel cell as the constitution element. <P>SOLUTION: The electrode catalyst contains an active material comprising the following (A), (B), and (C); (A) is an oxide of zirconium and/or titanium, (B) is an oxide of at least one selected from nickel, cobalt, and iron, (C) is an oxide of at least one selected from ruthenium, palladium, rhodium, and iridium, the contents of metallic nickel, cobalt, and iron are 5 mol% or less, the content of the (A) component is 1-15 mol%, the content of the (B) component is 5-50 mol%, and the remainder contains the (C) component. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
