HOLOGRAPHIC RECORDING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holographic recording system for forming holograms on a recording medium for simultaneously reproducing information from a plurality of hologram cells by using laser diodes.

SOLUTION: The holographic recording system 10 irradiates the recording medium 16 consisting of the hologram cells arranged in a two-dimensional array in an X-axis direction and a Y-axis direction with signal light in the Y-axis direction and irradiates one of a plurality of the hologram cells in the Y-axis direction to be irradiated with reference light from Z-axis direction orthogonal with the signal light and forms the hologram in the hologram cell. The reference light is cast to the desired hologram cell 17 by putting one of a plurality of micromirrors 31 constituting servo mirror arrays 30 in a linear array form in the Y-axis direction into an ON state. The position of the micromirrors 31 to be turned on is moved and further the recording medium 16 is moved in the X-axis direction by an actuator 38 for translation transfer, and thereby the holograms are formed in the respective hologram cells 17.
